Mindfulness and Meditation for Pre-Teens and Teens
-
SPRING23-W1
Teenagers have a lot on their plate - from school, to technology, and beyond. By teaching them Mindfulness and Meditation, we're giving young adults the tools to be able to navigate their ever-evolving lives in a grounded way and also have stress relieving techniques. Classes will be 30 minutes long and we'll start by learning what Mindfulness and Meditation are. Each class will also have age-appropriate activities such as journaling prompts, mindful eating, coloring, and mindfulness and meditation through art and music. In a world that is constantly fighting for our teens attention, it's becoming harder and harder to live in the present moment. Other benefits include learning to identify emotions and work through them in healthy ways and trying on all different styles of mindfulness and meditation so that they can begin to create their own practice.
Marissa Azucena is a certified mindfulness and meditation teacher, life coach, and currently runs her own business and mindfulness and meditation program for multiple Bay Area schools.
