Mindfulness and Meditation for Kids - SPRING23-W3

This class is aimed at setting up our future generations for success by providing them with the tools they need for stress relief, emotional regulation, and finding contentment within. Classes will be 30 minutes long and kids will learn the basics of mindfulness and meditation and breathing techniques in a fun way. Each class, the kids will also have age appropriate activities such as mindful eating, being, coloring, yoga, and reading books about mindfulness and meditation. Kids will also learn about emotions and mindful ways to deal with them. Benefits that your child can experience from taking a Mindfulness and Meditation class include: being able to identify the emotions they are feeling, using deep breathing as a tool to calm down when they have big emotions, having activities to help them cultivate their attention span and focus, finding mindfulness and meditation activities they enjoy and want to do that help with stress relief and overall contentment. Marissa Azucena is a certified mindfulness and meditation teacher, life coach, and currently runs her own business and mindfulness and meditation programs for schools in the Bay Area.
