In Bollywood and Beyond, students will learn to dance their way across cultures! This fun and energetic class introduces kids to the vibrant world of Bollywood dance-full of exciting moves, colorful music, and expressive storytelling-and then goes beyond to explore other global dance styles that inspire and influence Bollywood, such as hip-hop classical.

The Academy of Ballet and Etiquette uses the stories of the ballets to teach steps, technique and manners. We end with formal bows and a puppet story of the ballet as review and reward. Each class involves FULL BODY STORYTELLING, bursts of FOCUS, strong CLASS MANNERS and movement to HOOK CHILDREN ON CLASSICAL MUSIC & CULTURE. In this session we’ll dance through the stories of Snow Queen (the inspiraiton for Frozen), Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake and Sleeping Beauty, and Prokofiev’s Cinderella.

Karate helps build confidence and motivation to learn and helps to increase concentration. Class will emphasize on hand -eye coordination, body awareness, and Karate concepts: Blocking, Kicking, Punching and Striking. Karate GI ( Uniform) is required. Barry Delfin and his experienced team of coaches provide a positive environment focused on teaching the fundamentals of basketball. With an emphasis on leadership and teamwork, After School Hoops' mission is to help every child build confidence on and off the court through organized drills and games focused on important skills such as dribbling, shooting, passing, rebounding and defending. Those skills are immediately put to the test as every class ends with a 30-minute scrimmage. Open to boys and girls ages 7-13.
